Effective date: August 31, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Angles iOS application and any related services. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. By using the app you represent that you meet this age threshold and that your use does not violate any law that applies to you.

Your account

To use most features you must sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your sign-in credentials and device passcode secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your server-side profile, session metadata, cached captions, and consent history, and wipes your locally stored videos, frames, thumbnails, and preferences from the device. It is irreversible.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only.

This license does not grant you the right to:

• Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits
• Use the app to build a competing product
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use automated systems to access or interact with the app

Your use is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to any app you download from the App Store.

Your content

You retain all rights in and to the videos, photos, frames, and any other content you create, capture, import, or save using the app. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for your content and for ensuring you have all necessary rights, permissions, and consents — including from any identifiable people who appear in your videos — to record, store, and process it.

Your full source videos stay on your device. To process a video, Angles may upload selected candidate frames and frame-quality metadata to our cloud processing backend, then return result images to your device. Your like/reject choices may also be used to update your preference profile. See the Privacy Policy for the specific data that reaches our servers and AI services.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

• Record, store, or process content that is illegal under applicable law, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or content that violates the privacy or publicity rights of others
• Record any person without their consent where their consent is legally required
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or impersonate any person
• Interfere with, disable, or circumvent any security, rate-limit, or authentication mechanism of the app
• Submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt the app for other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscription products

Some features are available only through a paid subscription. Current pricing and features are shown in the app at the time of purchase.

Free trial

We may offer a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the full subscription price and your subscription will renew automatically.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings on your device.

Billing

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your credit card information. Apple's standard billing terms apply. Currency and applicable taxes are determined by Apple based on your App Store region.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices. If we increase the price of your current subscription, we will notify you and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

AI-assisted outputs

Angles may use cloud AI systems to rank candidate frames, perform AI Enhance generative image editing on one selected photo after point-of-use consent, or generate captions when you have enabled AI captions. AI-assisted outputs may be imperfect, inaccurate, or not to your taste. We do not guarantee any specific result, and you are responsible for deciding whether to save, share, or rely on an output.

AI Enhance can reconstruct details that were not clearly captured. Angles instructs the service to preserve the same person, expression, gaze, pose, clothing, background, framing, visible marks and text, and captured moment, but generated or reconstructed detail is not guaranteed ground truth. The Original remains separate and is never overwritten by the AI Enhanced version.

The specific data sent to AI services is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The app, including its design, code, content (other than your content), and trademarks, is owned by Angles or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any rights to you beyond the limited license above.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services as described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not warrant their availability, accuracy, or behavior.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; that defects will be corrected; or that any AI-assisted output — including captions, frame selections, image enhancement results, or quality scores — will meet your requirements or expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the app.

Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Angles, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party right
• Your content
• Your misuse of the app

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Delete Account or by deleting the app from your device.

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the app at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the app.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those covering your content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution — survive.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to attempt informal resolution by emailing support@angles.app with a detailed description of the dispute.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its then-current consumer arbitration rules. You and we each agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action.

You may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if eligible. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

Apple-specific provisions

You acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and Angles, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you, if applicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Angles, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app.
• Angles, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim.
• You represent and warrant that you are not located in a U.S.-embargoed country and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you as related to your license of the app.

Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Angles with respect to the app.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
• No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates an agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between you and us.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and notify you in the app. If the change requires renewed consent, you will be asked to re-accept before continuing to use the app.
